Honda pulled the plug on its once popular model Civic in India back in 2013 owing to sluggish demand. Having launched the tenth generation Civic in international markets lately. The company is confident of the product and is mulling to bring it back to India. Packed in an entirely new skin. The premium saloon will be a petrol engine. And there could be an option for a diesel unit as well.

. Jaguar E-pace
The Jaguar E-Pace is based on the Land Rover Discovery Sport/ Evoque platform. Which has been developed using the lightweight aluminium infused architecture. The design has been inspired by the F-type and like the F-Pace. It gets the typical large oval mesh grille with the cat-eyed headlamps flanking it. The high bonnet, flared wheel arches and a tall stance give it the muscle while staying true to its sporty Jaguar heritage.

. MG HECTOR
MG Motor will launch its first ever car in India in the second quarter of 2019 which will be an SUV. It could possibly a Hyundai Creta rival. The company will be using the manufacturing plant in Halol, Gujarat, which was earlier used by General Motors. It will be manufacturing up to 1 lakh units annually. MG Motor has announced an initial investment of Rs. 2,000 crore in India with an overall investment of Rs. 5,000 crore over the next 6 years.

. Audi Q2
Audi Q2 will be the new addition to the popular Q series in Audi India’s portfolio. The entry level SUV is built on a contemporary design language with key styling inputs reinforcing the edgy look. It will also get a well-laid out cabin with Audi’s virtual cockpit and an array of equipment including a touchpad, smartphone interface etc. The international model will receive multiple engine options as opposed to the India-spec model. That will get a petrol unit and an oil burner.

After the launch of the affordable Datsun Go, Redigo and the super compact MPV Go+. The Nissan sub-brand will get the Cross to India. Unveiled globally at the Tokyo Motor Show in 2015. The Cross was seen in India for the first time at the Auto Expo 2016.

The SP concept will be rival the likes of the Hyundai Creta and the Renault Duster in the compact SUV segment. In fact, the SP Concept would more or less similar to the Creta. When it comes to dimensions and it could also use the same platform as well. The SP Concept will be a 5-seater SUV and could get the same digital instrument console which the show car had. The production model will get maybe 16-inch or 17-inch wheels as opposed to the really large wheels on the concept model.

. Mahindra ekuv100
Pawan Goenka, Managing Director, M&M has confirmed that the new electric SUV will be launched during 2019-2020 financial year, and we believe it could be based on the KUV100. We have already told you that the company is planning to introduce two new electric vehicles by 2019. And one of them is possibly the Mahindra KUV100 electric vehicle. The electric version will be powered by a 380-volt system coupled with a 150 kW battery pack. That will provide a driving range of 250 kms.

Tata upcoming premium hatchback is based on Tata Motors’ new Alpha platform and will also be the second model to employ the company’s new Impact Design 2.0 philosophy, after the Harrier. And the sleek wraparound LED taillamps, and the sharp lines on the tailgate, which we get to see in these new images as well. Other design elements that are expected to be carried over from the concept car will include the single motion grille and headlamp cluster. The wide central airdam, the sweptback A-Pillar and the coupe-like roofline.
